NOBM has been used for a variety of projects including to track the interannual variability and trends in phytoplankton concentration and composition (e.g., Gregg and Rousseaux, 2019; Rousseaux and Gregg, 2015), to assess the effects of climate variability on phytoplankton communities (e.g., Arteaga and Rousseaux, 2023; Rousseaux and Gregg, 2012), and to prepare for future missions (e.g., Gregg and Rousseaux, 2017) as well as assess the fluxes of carbon dioxide in the oceans (e.g., Ott et al., Gregg et al. 2014).
