NCEP GFS AGCM
Idealized SST experimentsThe idealized SST experiments with the NCEP GFS are performed by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) of the National Center for Environmental Prediction (NCEP). The idealized runs are 37 years long, and data of the last 36 years are saved. The data are listed at ftp://gmaoftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/data/clivar_drought_wg/GFS/. The select variables are monthly mean precip, surface skin temperature, t2m, SST, soil moisture (total 2m depth), latent heat, 200mb height and u-wind, 850mb u- and v-winds, surface fluxes, and three-dimensional u-wind, v-wind, specific humidity, temperature, and moisture fluxes at all 20 pressure levels. The datasets are written in GRIB format and corresponding GrADS control and index files are also included.

AMIP experimentsThere are 5 AMIP run (1980-2007) available. The data are available at ftp://gmaoftp.gsfc.nasa.gov/pub/data/clivar_drought_wg/GFS/ ens01: AMIP run 1
NOTE: The data for Dec. 2000 in the ens04 case is missing because of the missing archive tape file at the NCEP CPC. Model ReferencesCampana, K. and P.
