WMO Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) for Climate Reanalysis
During the executive council meeting in June 2024, the WMO accepted the inclusion of reanalyses into its manual for integrated processing standards. The standards for a Climate Reanalysis are now outlined in the Manual on the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WMO-No. 485), WIPPS.
NASA’s Modern Era Reanalysis for Research and Applications, version 2 (MERRA-2) satisfies the production and dissemination conditions for a WMO Regional Specialized Meteorological Center (RSMC) for Climate Reanalysis.
