GMAO'S SUPPORT FOR 2017 ABoVE CAMPAIGN HAS ENDED
The Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE) is a NASA Terrestrial Ecology Program field campaign that will be conducted in Alaska and Western Canada. ABoVE is a large-scale study of environmental change and its implications for social-ecological systems.
The ABoVE campaign will combine field work, airborne surveys, satellite data and computer modeling to study the effects of climate change on Arctic and boreal ecosystems. The GMAO will provide weather forecast support and daily on-line weather briefings.
