Pre-workshop tutorial:

A brief set of pre-workshop tutorials describing some fundamentals not generally presented elsewhere will be offered on Sunday 31 May to help novices in the field to spin up their understanding. Workshop supported students and postdocs will be expected to attend these tutorials.

A two-hour morning session covering fundamentals of adjoint models will be given by Ronald Errico. The afternoon session on fundamentals of data assimilation will be presented by Mike Fisher. Please see the workshop program for scheduling details.
