Title: Adjoints and ooze

Adjoint methods have enjoyed increasing popularity in regional ocean modeling activities in recent years. This presentation will review some of the recent efforts in regional ocean analysis and forecasting systems which make direct use of 4D-Var, adjoint sensitivity, and observation impact methods.
