03.02.2017

Clara Draper Congratulations to Clara Draper, who will be moving to NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, CO. In her new position, Clara will be working with the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) to develop and test next-generation ensemble-based data assimilation capabilities for NOAA's global NWP system.

During her time in GMAO, Clara made substantial contributions to the development of the GMAO's land modeling and data assimilation systems. In particular, her publications have focused on the use of satellite-based soil moisture and land surface skin temperature observations. Moreover, Clara worked on integrating land surface assimilation into the GEOS-5 atmospheric analysis system and on preparing for GMAO's next reanalysis.

We wish Clara well in her new position.
