The Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) took part in the Science Jamboree, held in Building 28 on Wednesday, July 25. The different departments and missions at Goddard Space Flight Center filled the atrium with exhibits allowing employees and guests to mingle while presenting their latest research and discoveries. Each of the building’s wings had a different theme: Earth Science Division, Astrophysics Science Division, Solar System Exploration Division and Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate. It was quite a humid and rainy day outside, but the turnout was still high as visitors learned about the types of work being done at Goddard.

The Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) exhibit space was in the heart of the atrium. GMAO team members had the opportunity to interact with many visitors to discuss the various aspects of GMAO products. Visitors were also able to view the latest forecast displayed on the FLUID web site or a special presentation featuring highlighted GMAO research. Also available were the popular MERRA-2 datacube & bookmark kits, MERRA-2 decals and ENSO lenticular cards.

A big thank you goes to Nathan Arnold, Mike Bosilovich, Richard Calluther, Allie Collow, Marangelly Cordero-Fuentes, Emma Knowland, Karki Mahendra, Gary Partyka, Aishwarya Raman, Brent Smith, Sterling Spangler and Heather Weir for showing a strong presence on behalf of the GMAO.
