Grid and Data Properties

  • Grid Size: 576x540
  • Southwest Corner (x0,y0) = (-179.6875, -89.833)
  • Dx = 0.625, Dy = 0.3333
  • Depth: Layers are interpolated to the Standard Levels and Depths from the National Oceanographic Data Center. From the layered model output we have layer thicknesses and variables like T,S,U,V etc. To convert the layer model variables to fixed depths, we first compute the depth of each layer using the layer thicknesses from the ocean surface. Then we interpolate these values to get the variables at the fixed depths from the surface.
