This data set contains results from experimental ocean data assimilations and hybrid statistical/dynamical hindcasts, performed by GFDL for the ODASI consortium.
This data set contains the following:
- exp34_assim.nc
low-resolution assimilation using all data
- exp34_assim_no_east_tao.nc
withholds TAO data in east Pacific
- exp34_assim_no_west_tao.nc
withholds TAO data in west Pacific
- exp34_assim*.exp25_fcst.{JAN,JUL}.nc
deterministic hybrid model forecasts, initialized in January/July from the above assimilations.
- om3p4_assim_1p1*.exp25_fcst.{JAN,JUL}.nc
deterministic hybrid model forecasts, initialized in January/July from regridded high-resolution assimilations.
The high-resolution assimilations are available via our DODS server:
- http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3 -- assimilates all data
- http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3_tao_west" -- withholds TAO in east
- http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3_tao_east" -- withholds TAO in west
