GFDL AGCM Description

This data set contains results from coupled OGCM/AGCM hindcasts, performed by GFDL for the ODASI consortium.

Six individual members, and the ensemble mean of these six members, initialized from an ocean assimilation which includes all TAO data: om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e01.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e02.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e03.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e04.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e05.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e06.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.em.JAN.nc

Two individual members, and the ensemble mean of these two members, initialized from an ocean assimilation which includes TAO data only in the west Pacific: om3p4_assim_1p1_west.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e01.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1_west.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.e02.JAN.nc om3p4_assim_1p1_west.cm2_a12.9A_om3p4C_jaf_fcst.em.JAN.nc

The hindcasts were initialized in January from high-resolution ocean assimilations, available via DODS: http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3 -- assimilates all data http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3_tao_west" -- withholds TAO in east http://data1.gfdl.gov:8080/dodsC/gfdl_assim_1p3_tao_east" -- withholds TAO in west where "gfdl_assim_1p3" corresponds to "om3p4_assim_1p1" above.
